Logroño City Council is located in an administrative complex at number 11 Avenida de la Paz. As well as the political and administrative functions of Logroño City Council, the building that houses it forms part of the cultural landscape of Logroño, helping to give the city its own personality.


The seat of the city council was relocated to this modern, emblematic building in 1981. Prior to that, it was situated in the Palacio de los Chapiteles, on Calle Portales. The new City Hall was designed by the architect Rafael Moneo, and consists of two triangular main buildings laid out to create a spacious plaza in the middle.

It’s an essential stop on any tour of the city, both because of its architecture and its function, as Logroño City Council is responsible for most of the touristic activities that are organised in the city, making it the perfection place to get information and organise your route.

You can get there from Avenida de la Paz or from Calle Escuelas Pías. Because it’s in such a central area, the City Hall is a place you can stop off at en route to Plaza Martínez Flamarique, which is next to the complex and which has great cultural significance for Logroño. Ten minutes’ walk away is the bullring, the Plaza de Toros de la Ribera, a historic tourist attraction that no bullfighting fan should miss.

And you need not worry about finding somewhere to park so that you can then explore the centre on foot. The Saba car park is well located in a central area of the city where it’s generally difficult to find parking.
